I purchased this set for use with a DEWALT DCF813S2 12-Volt Max 3/8-Inch Impact Wrench Kit.

Overall this set does not disappoint. You get the DeWalt quality with this socket set. The sockets are thin and narrow making it easy to fit into tight spaces.

A tiny grouse is that the sockets don't stay set within their holders inside the case - it's very easy to get them rolling around. My Husky manual ratcheting set has individual elastic bands that keeps things from shifting, not so these.

Let me start of by saying this is a great, relatively inexpensive set of deep impact sockets. Did the job for me. Used them to drive 5/16" x 2 1/2" and 1/2" x 4 1/2" lags into pressure treated wood with my new 20v impact driver DEWALT DCF885C2 20-Volt MAX Lithium Ion 1/4-Inch 1.5 Ah Impact Driver Kitno problem. No rounding, no damage to the sockets, not that I would expect it being these are rated for impact. Quality seems just fine. I like that the included case holds two 1/4" hex to 3/8" drive adapters (included) and up to a 10" ratchet (not included) up near the handle. It also comes with two extra socket holders as you can barely make out in the picture. My only gripe is that the sockets fall out of the holders unless you leave the cardboard insert in place. Not a big deal for me but to others it may be. On a side note, it would be nice if it came with an additional socket holder built in. Depending on which way you want to expand the set, you could easily fit two or three more sockets in the case. I think DeWalt has a total of fourteen 3/8" drive sockets from 1/4" to 1" in this product line. I may pick up a couple as I need them.

I've had impact drivers for several years now but never bought into the whole "impact socket" thing. That was until when using a standard socket with my impact driver that it snapped under the tremendous torque. So upon that fiasco, I purchased this set of impact sockets. Looking back I should have went with the 1/2 drive version, but these work fine. A few days after my sockets arrived we undertook a new project. We bagan building an 8'x 40' pergola in a family member's backyard. This project was the perfect test, as we were using an 18v dewalt impact driver, a 12v milwaukee impact driver, and an IR pneumatic impact wrench. These performed flawlessly with the different impact drivers and we were glad we had them. We used the 1/2" and the 9/16" more than anything. The bolts we were using were 3 1/2" lags and they didn't stand a chance with the combination of impact drivers and these new sockets. I would definately buy these again in a heartbeat.
