great impact to add to the pouch, very light and high speed. great for small self taps, and just about anything other than long and thick lag bolts. rated it a 4 only because the batteries take longer to charge than i would have guessed. buy an extra battery and youre all set.

I have a high end small impact by another major manufacture about 7 years old with new batteries. This tool is lighter, stronger and a plus to use with the LED lights. The Lithium batteries are a super big plus. The other tool may have a slightly higher build quality but it does not matter in real world use. I have one complaint about all of these like tools by all the manufactures - they each include these nylon bags for the tools which I believe are cluttering up the landfills. Most of us do not need all these bags.

The Dewalt impact driver is a useful little device that performs nicely and is well worth the price I paid for it. It has good torque, is small and compact, and fits the hand comfortably. The only complaint is the charge capacity of the tiny little battery pack. A fully-charged battery will not last beyond maybe 24-30 screws into, for example, five-quarter deck boards. While the battery pack charges rapidly (about 45 minutes), I have three battery packs and that still was not sufficient to complete the deck project I was working on.
