I don't understand the criticisms October 2, 2012
Assembly wasn't particularly quick, because I took my time, greased the axles (not specified in the manual), took care to be sure everything was aligned properly, etc. So for me it took a solid hour to complete. It didn't help that the manual left out a couple of important points, so I had to disassemble a couple of things and re-do them. Once done, this stand/cart is solid, sturdy, reliable, and inspires confidence. It *is* important to follow the assembly instructions carefully; not all steps are obvious.
Unlike other reviewers, I love the easy-rolling rollers; when I have a series of cuts in rapid order, they help me keep moving with less effort. If you're looking for a length stop, simply raise the applicable roller assembly about an inch, and the surface just below the roller itself makes for a perfect stop - so it's the best of both worlds.
The tires are solid rubber (so no maintenance needed), but they're not rock-hard; the rubber is just soft enough to give the stand/saw a little cushion when rolling over the edges of concrete, etc. Fit & finish are excellent.
Since nearly every component of this stand is steel, it's heavy. But the tradeoff is that it's very rigid and reliable.... Read more ›

Finally a decent rolling stand December 7, 2012
The miter stand specifically is well made has nice adjustments. Assembly was easy and straight forward. The wheels are cheap but work fine. A couple of issues I've had is where you wrap the electrical cord on the back. Be aware how you collapse the stand for rolling away. I collapsed the stand on the cord and now it's messed up. Works fine but just be aware. Also I did like how my stationary stand has stops on the material supports. I could adjust the stops and make the same cut over and over without measuring each piece. I have been able to do this on this stand by raising the roller high enough, but the stationary stand "cupped" it and your piece wasn't cantilevered.
I have been using a miter saw stand for a year and it's working perfectly fine for me. The review of this product looks good as well. May be sometimes I will use this one for working.
